Overview:
Energy Resourcing are currently recruiting for an architectural/Building Services Project Manager to join their global EPC client’s Stockton/London project team on a 12-month contract basis.

This is a fantastic career opportunity for a self-motivated individual to join a large Gigafactory project. The factory is purposely being constructed for our client’s requirements.
Responsibilities:
  • Manage and support day-to-day Architectural Commissioning activities/personnel in the safe and structured delivery of the work scope and processes, ensuring all applicable site / Project safety procedures are fully and properly implemented.
  • Actively participate in all Company and Project safety initiatives.
  • Provide Architectural input into the Project strategies, procedures, design phase, plans and schedules.
  • Conduct thorough Architectural reviews and assess whether scope requirements are met.
  • Review and progress architectural close-out in in-line with actual Architectural Commissioning progress, ensuring relevant documents are inserted/signed off accordingly – i.e. HIRA, site queries, as-built drawings etc.
  • Where required, identify, estimate and escalate requirements for architectural growth and create additional scope for Client approval. Liaise with Project Controls / Planning to ensure approved growth hours are input into the Project schedule.
  • Ensure that all architectural work is to the required standard and that all drawings, specifications, inspection certifications and Company systems of quality assurance are strictly adhered to.
  • Where required, raise/manage technical queries (in the design phase or from the site during construction) and propose/manage solutions for updates before executing the architectural works on site. Track, monitor and report on all architectural query statuses and ensure queries are closed out by Project procedure.
  • Provide a link between the architectural group and Engineering departments of the Project – assist with site surveys, design changes, constructability etc.
  • Monitor and report progress regularly – daily/weekly / monthly.
  • Liaise with Project personnel to identify and deliver early architectural / Project gains.
  • Manage and input into internal and joint tri-party walks and identify/raise necessary punch list items with the Building Fit-out Contractor / Project Construction / Completions Team.
  • Audit site / Project activities regularly to ensure all compliance with Project safety, environmental and quality requirements.
  • Interface with Project Management, Client representatives and Architectural Design Consultants on all matters applicable to architectural activities, providing accurate reporting on status including identification of issues or concerns which may impact Project delivery.
  • Liaise with Client representatives to ensure, where applicable / required, all architectural data/services are supplied.
  • Maintain primary contact and a good working relationship with Consultants, Vendors / Subcontractors site representatives and ensure they are fully aware of their obligations and responsibilities.
Qualifications:
Essential:
  • Demonstrable experience in a similar role or position in the architectural / building services sector.
  • Delivery-focused with proven experience in achieving Project goals whilst maintaining high standards in HSEQ at all times.
  • Extensive knowledge of the Architectural design and build process, its implementation and management. Fully conversant with Project management tools.
  • Experienced in the production of detailed procedures/documents/reports.
  • Experienced in the management of personnel and all aspects of team working.
  • Extensive knowledge of HSEQ safe working practices/procedures.
  • Able to deliver training to personnel within the architectural team - a commitment to developing team members.
  • Able to interface and interact with Management, Client and external Consultant representatives at all levels.
  • Detailed understanding of modern planning systems and their use in the execution of Architectural as well as Project work scopes.
  • Detailed knowledge of the Architectural process and associated systems.
  • Detailed knowledge of Permit to Work systems.
Desirable:
  • Strong communication, networking, collaboration and well-developed teamwork skills, especially in multi-discipline and multi-cultural teams.
  • A full knowledge of project-specific execution strategies, and the ability to develop them to meet challenging project objectives and deliverables.
  • An ‘Incident Free’ mindset, and be a role model for their project team (Direct/Indirect hires);
  • A proven HSSE and QA/QC leadership in managing and delivering large complex onshore construction projects.
  • A full understanding of how all elements of the project scope integrate and interface with each other and are managed to successfully deliver the right project outcome - from design, through construction, and through to commissioning and handover to operations.
  • A high focus on identifying and delivering the identified deliverables, which meet project expectations from a quality and performance perspective, with minimal integration challenges to current operations.
  • Excellent teamwork skills being able to work with the various sub-teams to resolve issues and reach decisions that are in the best interests of the integrated project team.
  • An ability to work effectively in a diverse, multidisciplinary team environment, including Interface management experience, within facilities, and across other functions,
  • Strong Team Building, Development and Mentoring skills.
