Our Practice was established in 2013, after the founder found a gap in the local market for a community based Architectural practice which has close ties with various trades across the local area. The company has grown since its inception with a dedicated team of architects, designers and sub-contractors to provide a holistic service within the residential market. We are forward thinking and environmentally conscious. Based in Sevenoaks, Kent, we operate largely within the South-East.

Job description:

This exciting role for a Part 2 Architect will be based in our offices in Sevenoaks, Kent. We have a team of experienced and professional staff with the ambitions to grow, succeed and make their mark in the industry. This job would suit someone that is like minded, and willing to assist with the growth and be comfortable working in a small dynamic environment. This role comes with good development opportunities for the successful candidate.

Key tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Your role will include preparation and co-ordination of drawings from concept, through planning, and into the construction stages.
  • Liaison with other professionals throughout the design and build process.
  • Attending meetings with homeowners, developers, project teams, and building contractors.

The successful candidate should:

Essential

  • Be proficient in Revit and knowledge of 3D Rendering Software i.e. Lumion.
  • Have at least one year of experience within a practice.
  • Have good concept design awareness, with a keen eye for detail.
  • Awareness and knowledge of Building Regulations.
  • Residential experience.
  • Have excellent organisation skills, communication and time/people management.
  • Have an approachable and confident personality.

Preferred

  • Have experience of working within a Design Team and co-ordinating with Structural Engineers and other consultants.
  • Be forward thinking and be able to discuss solutions and design with building control and planning officers.
  • Keen to work towards Part 3 and Chartered Registration.
  • Would be useful to have a Full UK Driving Licence.

What we can offer:

The salary will be commensurate with experience, 20 days holiday plus bank holiday, automatic enrolment into the company pension scheme and with the opportunities to work remotely should circumstances permit.

Knowledge and working with Building Regulations: 1 year (Preferred)

Education:

Part 1 and Part 2 accreditation
