Are you a logical thinker with a curious nature and meticulous attention to detail? Do you have a passion for investigating, analysing and solving problems?

Skipton Building Society has a brand new and exciting opportunity to join our apprenticeship programme. You will be working within our ‘second line of defence’ teams whose primary function is to protect both our customers and colleagues via our risk management and compliance functions.

What You’ll Be Doing

Throughout the 2-year programme you’ll complete placements in areas such as Financial Crime, Legal, Compliance Monitoring, Data Protection, Compliance Policy and Operational Risk; gaining experience in responding to compliance queries, regulatory and personal data breaches, reviewing legal updates, and investigate issues such as scams and fraudulent transactions.

Alongside working within the Society, you’ll complete your studies to work towards obtaining a Compliance Risk Officer Level 3 Apprenticeship. You’ll acquire a vast knowledge surrounding the Financial Services legal and regulatory framework, policies and procedures and an introduction to the principles of data protection.
