About The Role

The Early Years Alliance is the largest early years membership organisation and voluntary sector provider of quality affordable childcare and education in England. An educational charity, the Alliance represents the interests of over 14,000 member settings who deliver care and learning to over 800,000 families every year. We are looking to recruitan experienced Administrator to support our Apprenticeship training programmes. The role will be based at the Early Years Alliance Training Centre, First Floor, Bridge House, 97-101 High Street, Tonbridge, Kent, TN9 1DR

Main duties:

  • To register, record, input details of learners enrolled on Alliance training programs as directed by the line manager.
  • To register, record, input and maintain learner and qualification information both computerised and manual files as directed by the line manager.
  • To promote the Alliances apprenticeship training and offer initial advice and guidance to employers and candidates.
  • Process new enrolments and monitor learner progress and attendance.
  • To prepare training statistics as required.
  • Supporting pre-enrolment processes such as initial assessment, learner eligibility checks and employer documentation collection.
  • To support the recruitment process of apprentices across Alliance early years settings.
  • To act as the link between the Training Centre and the National Centre to ensure that information relating to apprenticeship training is available. Ensuring training and learning information is available in a timely and accessible manner.
  • To support the administration of the Alliance’s employer responsive initiatives including customer satisfaction surveying, undertaking operational needs analyses etc.
  • To support the apprenticeship end point assessment administration processes.
  • To work as directed by the line manager to ensure that the Training Centre’s work complements and supports the Charity’s wider work.

Essential criteria:

  • Evidence of computer literacy - experience of using Microsoft Office 365, spreadsheets and CRM databases.
  • Fast and accurate data entry skills.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work to deadlines, sometimes under pressure.
  • Good organisational skills and a methodical approach to tasks.
  • Good attention to detail.
  • Able to work as part of a team and to use own initiative.
  • An understanding of, and commitment to, equal opportunities.
  • Ability to provide accurate and impartial IAG to potential learners and employers.

Desirable Criteria

  • Experience of working in a training or apprenticeship administration support role.
  • Experience of the voluntary sector.
  • IAG qualification at Level 2 or above.

Hours per week: 35

Weeks per year: 52
