Salary: Apprentice Corporate Rate (NLW) £20,103 per annum. £10.42 per hour.

2 positions x 37 hours per week

Temporary for 36 months

Your Role

This role forms part of the Fleet Services Team responsible for the repair and maintenance of all Council vehicle, plant and equipment. You will support the existing team of Workshop Technicians and together with the team, you will be accountable for ensuring that our front-line operational teams are equipped with the resources required to deliver services throughout the borough.

About You

You must be a highly self-motivated individual with the drive to listen, learn and achieve. You must have sound communication skills, a flexible attitude towards work and willing to work towards achieving a level 3 in Motor Vehicle Maintenance and Repair. This would be a great opportunity for someone who is enthusiastic about working in a workshop environment and who may have some practical experience from school, college, or their hobbies in this area.

You will also be required to spend a proportion of your time undertaking other relevant qualifications and will gain a range of experience whilst learning from professionals within the organisation and industry.
