We are looking for someone to join our small team on a long term basis to become Candy’s apprentice. We are a family run business who are looking to expand and grow

What are are looking for: Enthusiastic, hard working, motivated, friendly, optimistic, team orientated, able to work under pressure, willingness to learn & grow, flexible schedule.

The role: Helping in the kitchen with various tasks, preparation, cooking, wrapping dumplings, rolling sushi & spring rolls (we will teach you) We will teach the many flavours of authentic Taiwanese cuisine and a variety of skills.

We are not looking for a short term team member, we want someone who will learn the skills necessary and potentially become a main chef in our kitchen one day.

No previous experience required, if you are willing to learn, we are willing to teach you. We would like someone who is career orientated and thinks of the long term future. We are excited to see where Candy’s Cuisine can go in the future.

We have a lot of ambitious ideas & plans in the pipeline, we’d love to find the right person to be involved with us. Dishes and food will also be provided for you.

Requirements and prospects

Desired skills

Non essential but desirable: Kitchen skills & previous experience, knife skills.

Personal qualities

Hard working, motivated, friendly, optimistic, team orientated, willingness to learn and grow, flexible schedule, passionate, future / career focus.

Desired qualifications

Non essential but any chef or culinary qualification or skills are desired. Maths and English GCSE or equivalent would be advantageous.

Future prospects

Ambitious, optimistic, passionate, strive to be the best version of self, continuously curious. Interested in being involved in our growth and potentially be a head chef in the future under Candy’s guidance. This isn’t a dead end opportunity.

Things to consider

Apprentices are paid for their normal working hours and training that’s part of their apprenticeship (usually one day per week).
