We are looking for an Apprentice Multi Trade to join our busy team. There will be learning potential on a wide variety of projects as we specialise in the Insurance Sector, plumbing to plastering and everything in between. The role is varied, interesting and fast-paced.

Apprentice Multi Trade
An Apprentice Multi Trade will be responsible for assisting, learning and carrying out a wide range of maintenance, responsive repairs, void works & property MOTs connected with all aspects of their specialist trades and any secondary trades. The works shall be carried out in an efficient way and completed within required deadlines.
DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:
To assist, learn and carry out multi trade work to a high standard as directed by the Manger, including more than one of the following skills:
- Electrical
- Plumbing
- Carpentry
- Painting and Decorating
- Plastering
- Tiling
- Bricklaying
- Groundwork
- Other areas of Construction Multi-Skill
- Entry level skills in construction to deliver general duties and minor repairs
Comply with relevant British Standards, manufacturers requirements, specifications, legislation, policy and procedure.
Collect the necessary materials from our Stores to enable works to be carried out in a single visit.
Inform your supervisor where necessary materials are required for works to be carried out in a single visit.
Deliver duties in the most environmentally friendly and efficient way possible to ensure a sustainable and reduced carbon emission service.
Ensure all work is carried out safely, in accordance with our code of conduct with respect to our customers and their homes whenever working in or outside of the property.
Carry out works to the requirements and obligations of the Health and Safety at work Act and all specific Health and Safety polices.
Wear appropriate clothing, ID, uniform and PPE for specific tasks.
Offer an excellent level of customer service - be respectful, positive, polite, on time and listen to the needs of customers.
Always maintain a high level of cleanliness using dust sheets and / or boot covers and leave properties in a clean, compliant and safe condition.
Complete paperwork after each job promptly and accurately detail materials used, works carried out and any other repairs required for completion whilst inside the property.
Where possible always complete repairs in one visit, where this is not possible or other works are noticed for completion discuss this with the supervisor / manager and raise follow up works.
Work as a team with all colleagues in J & B Disaster Management Ltd.
Maintain van stock at the correct levels. Keep any tools provided in good condition.
Ensure that vehicles and any other modes of transport are maintained to a high level of cleanliness and any damage / disrepair is immediately reported to the manager.
Attend any training as required by your manager including (but not limited to) toolbox talks, safeguarding and any health and safety requirements.
Report any safeguarding concerns that you see whilst working on site to the manager.
Report any concerns relating to health and safety, workmanship or defects found on site to the manager.
Using IT to accept jobs and sign off works when completed for inspection.
The above is not an exhaustive list of duties and you will be expected to perform different tasks as necessitated by your changing role within the organisation and the overall business objectives of the company.

Future prospects
Possible permanent position upon completion of apprenticeship. Also, possibility to move onto Skilled Trade position with a view of becoming a Skilled Multi Trade employee and possibly Contracts Manager.
Things to consider
Candidate will be required to pass a DBS check. There can be travel involved in the work, generally a maximum of 1.5hrs. You will be working closely with a Skilled Multi Trade employee so you will need to be able to get on well with them to progress.
