About the employer

Saint Catherine’s provides specialist care and support for adults with a terminal illness. Around half of our patients, after receiving treatment and support, can return home.

As well as our clinical teams (doctors, nurses and other health care specialists) our non-clinical teams include, fundraising, marketing, IT specialists, accountants, caterers, HR, maintenance, education and administration, all working together to provide high-quality services to support our patient care. All the care we provide is free of charge to patients and their families.

Our services cost around £5 million/year to deliver and over 65% of this is raised from public support through donations, fundraising activities, hospice shops and our weekly lottery and legacies.

With over 400 volunteers giving their time so generously to support the delivery of our services Saint Catherine’s really is a fabulous place to work. We are all passionate about the organisation and the work we do. We are open and honest, respectful and inclusive, innovative and inspiring. We are friendly and most definitely have fun when and where we can.
