We are looking to recruit an IT Support Apprentice to join our business. This is a great opportunity for someone seeking a permanent full-time position in an exciting and fast paced company. As an IT Support Apprentice, you will learn how to provide support to colleagues of varying IT capabilities enabling them to carry out their day-to-day tasks with minimal fuss. This will be done over the phone, face-to-face and via Microsoft Teams and through remote sessions.
The successful candidate will gain hands on experience whilst also attending college to attain an appropriate Level 3 qualification.
As a member of the Van Elle IT team you will be responsible for supporting your fellow department members and the following:

  • Responding to inbound calls and emails on the IT helpdesk.
  • Troubleshooting and allocating user problems within our ticketing system
  • Communicating with users through email, chat, voice calls, video calls and remote sessions
  • Supporting a wide range of applications including Microsoft Office 365, SharePoint, Teams and our own bespoke applications
  • Performing IT administration such as creating users, assigning access to mailboxes and resetting passwords
  • Setting up new hardware in preparation for it to be distributed throughout the company network
  • Attain quotes from various suppliers and providers for any new hardware, software and contract renewals

Knowledge and Skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • A Team player who can work under their own initiative
  • Great organization skills
  • Be outgoing, approachable, and eager to learn
  • Have gained the following qualifications: GCSE Grade C/4 or above in English, Mathematics and Science and/or a technology-based subject.
