Job Description Our Client based in Farnborough are looking for an Apprentice Finance co-ordinator on a permanent basis, our client have 4 Manufacturing plants worldwide along with R&D and repair capabilities. Their world renowned expertise, place them at the forefront of suppliers. They have approximately 200 employees in their UK facility which is heavily focused on Design and manufacture. Job Overview/Purpose: To support the Finance department in meeting its responsibilities, including the day to day running of the business, internal reporting requirements, external reporting requirements and provide the necessary segregation of duties to conform with Sarbox requirements. Key Responsibilities Accounts payable-Processing supplier invoices, ensuring that they match to the authorised purchase order
  • Ensuring discrepancies between order and invoice are authorised appropriately
  • Reconciling supplier statements and updating the ledger accordingly Accounts receivable
  • Processing cash received from customers in line with remittances provided Fixed assets
  • Assisting with the fixed asset physical verification
  • Ensuring all new assets are labelled and photographs are attached to the register Inventory
  • Reviewing the cycle count variance reports and ensuring all discrepancies are authorised
  • Assisting with the year end WIP count Month end / processing
  • Process month end journals as required
  • Reconciliation of subcontractor costs and calculation of accrual Ad hoc duties as required Qualifications/Skills/Experience
  • Minimum of 5 GCSEs (or equivalent) at grades 5-9 including Maths (minimum grade 6) and English.
  • Enthusiastic and hardworking individual
  • Comfortable with IT, specifically MS Office
