We’re looking for someone who likes working with others as we all enjoy working together and support each other to succeed. The apprenticeship standard studied will be Level 3 Business Administration.

The ideal candidate for this job likes helping people, is reliable, organised and takes pride in their work; ensuring it is well presented and delivered in a timely manner. You’ll also have great communication skills. You’ll be confident and polite when answering the phone, as well as when making phone calls. You’ll enjoy opportunities to meet new people and our members at online events and hopefully very soon, face to face, at Chamber events such as our 1stuesday Networking events and the Halton Business Awards.

In fact, we’d like you to help us organise and promote the 2021 Halton Chamber Awards so an interest in event management and/or marketing/social media would be a definite advantage.

Requirements and prospects

Desired skills

  • Confident in using the telephone to make outbound telephone calls to chamber members and local businesses.
  • Proficiency in MS Office with experience in Microsoft Word, Excel and possibly PowerPoint.
  • Detail-focused and comfortable working in a fast-paced office environment.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Good organisation skills and dedication to completing projects in a timely manner.

Desired qualifications

A minimum of 4 GCSEs at grades C/4 or above (or equivalent) in maths and English.

Upon successful completion of this apprenticeship, there is the opportunity for a full-time position with Halton Chamber.

This will require classroom training for 1 day every fortnight during term time at our Riverside College (Kingsway) campus.
