The successful candidate will be trained in the assembly and service of the Bauer gear motor range. This is a modular product and assembled from component stock as required. The general process will involve picking components from stores locations from a bill of material, assembly, test and paint the finished product. Dismantling returned gear motors for service and overhaul will be required. A report form is completed with comments and the customer is quoted for the repair. If ordered the unit will be reassembled using the required components, tested and painted.

Personal qualities

A friendly enthusiastic person who can develop working relationships with colleagues within a small team.

A general interest in engineering / mechanics would be useful. The ability to understand assembly procedures and a logical outlook is needed

Desired qualifications

GCSEs at grades C/4 or above (or equivalent) in maths and English.

Future prospects

As a small mature team we need to ensure succession. There is a possible permanent position for the successful candidate after completion of the apprenticeship.

Things to consider

You will be required to attend the Winsford or Warrington campus 2 days a week and the remaining 3 days working in the company.
