Responsibilities will include:

  • To assist residents who need help with palliative care
  • To help residents with mobility problems and other physical disabilities and to help in the use of the care aids and personal equipment
  • Engage in good team working
  • To care for residents temporarily sick and on respite
  • To help in the promotion of mental and physical activity of residents through talking to them, taking them out, sharing activities with them
  • To set up tables serve meals and help prepare light meals
  • To respect the confidentiality of all information received
  • To read and write reports and take part in staff and residents meetings and training activities as directed. To undertake other duties as necessary
  • To conduct all procedures within the home with regard to the food hygiene and safety legislation
