Application Tester (Newcastle-under-Lyme)Salary: 28,000 - 34,000 (Office based Monday Friday)Who Is Our ClientThey were Established in 2007, and are based in Newcastle under Lyme, they are a dynamic and successful Distributor of wireless consumer electronics.The company has more than trebled in size over the last few years and have rapid growth plans for the next couple of years.What You Will Be DoingYour job purpose is to help support the growth of the business through the testing, documenting and training of their rapidly evolving in-house applications and websites to ensure optimal efficiency and quality of performance and experience.What Your Days Will Look LikeWorking closely with the Developers and Users in this hands-on role, you will;Design and perform Unit testing, full end-to-end pre-release UAT testing and regression testing of in-house developed software applications and websites/web-based applicationsCreation of application documentation in all formats as well as testing documentation and reportsManage the change and issue logging systemPerform training and provide first line support to a variety of end users (local and remoteAny other tasks deemed necessary to support business needs and/or cover for colleaguesWhat You Will NeedMin 3 years solid experience helping to develop and deploy structured application testing methodology.Experience of training is preferred but not as essential as being friendly, confident, professional and articulate at all levels.Structured and solution-oriented with good analytical and problem-solving skills.Diligent and organised with a forensic level of attention to detail to work consistently to high standards.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including in a written format.BSc in Engineering or equivalent (ideal)What You Will GetThis is a new role and truly exciting opportunity for the right personA small but growing team.Benefits include: pension, staff purchase discounts, flexible working, an extra get stuff done day off work each year, an endless supply of tea, coffee, bananas biscuits and of course working with fantastic, friendly colleagues!
