Job Description

Key Responsibilities:
  • Identify opportunities for application improvement and actively contribute to their implementation
  • Lead in the modification of internal applications to meet the needs of the business and end-users
  • Monitor the business applications, document and analyse issues, and publish maintenance schedules
  • Implement application updates to include upgrades, patches, and new releases
  • Perform root cause analysis of application issues and creation of corrective action plans following the industry standard ITIL framework
  • Work with the Service Desk to maintain and manage a knowledge database of issues and their resolution or workarounds, including authoring of technical documentation
  • Ensure backup and disaster recovery procedures for business applications are in place and tested regularly
  • Build strong and close working relationships with key business stakeholders and service partners
  • Deliver timely, customer-focused technical support for applications to internal teams and employees to ensure KPI and SLA targets are met/exceeded
  • Provide end user documentation and offer advice and end user training
  • Create and maintain application documentation
The Successful Applicant

Key Skills and Experience:
  • Strong technical experience in ERP, CRM and applications used in manufacturing and distribution businesses
  • Experience with data integration, backup and management tools
  • Experience with configuration management and automation tools
  • Systematic and analytical approach to problem solving with the ability to implement effective business solutions
  • Experience in data analysis and reporting
  • Confident creating technical and non-technical documentation
  • Strong quality and service focus
  • Building strong working relationships with key stakeholders, internal IT teams and third-party vendors
  • Analysing data to draw business-relevant conclusions
