Application Support Engineer (SQL PL/SQL Oracle) *Remote Interview WFH*. Are you tech savvy with excellent communication skills? You could be progressing your career, providing technical support to clients on a complex software product that aids in the discovery of solutions for the Life Sciences and pharmaceuticals industry.

As an Application Support Engineer you be responsible for investigating customer issues within agreed SLAs via remote access (e.g. VPN, WebEx etc.) to customer systems, gathering sufficient information to pass on to other engineers. You’ll perform data fixes or configuration changes to resolve issues or work around problems and keep detailed records of change requests. Your role will also include onsite customer installations, upgrades and demos in a pre-sales capacity.

You will build up an in-depth knowledge of the core product becoming a subject matter expert and progressing your career; fantastic opportunity to be mentored by an exceptional team of individuals in a scientific, technology driven environment.

Driven by technology this company is able to offer a remote interview and onboarding process during the current social distancing measures; going forward you’ll be expected to be in the office 2 days a week with the other 3 working from home.

Requirements:
  • You have commercial Application Support experience
  • You have good SQL and Oracle (PL/SQL) skills and the ability to script
  • You have excellent communication skills and are able to build strong working relationships with clients and internal teams
  • You have achieved a Computer Science degree (or closely related technical or scientific discipline)
  • Desirable: familiarity with sample management operations/systems or other relevant life science/bio-pharmaceutical industry
