Kent – Applications Engineer – Salary £40-60k – Telematics

My client are leaders in telematics and are innovators in the industry. The company are increasingly growing and are looking for an Applications Engineer.

Main Duties:

  • Responsible for a given sales channel (individually) as part of a wider team supporting the account manager technically with day-to-day technical issues and enquiries
  • Pre-sales technical enquiries
  • Responding to the technical aspects of RFP / RFQ’s
  • Solution architecture for customer integration projects (working with customer directly) e.g., API integrations etc.
  • Technical customer documentation (drawings, wiring diagrams excluding installation specifications and detailed explanations of complex system aspects)

Key Skills and Experience:

  • Previous experience within a presales role
  • Knowledge/experience of vehicle telematics or similar connected solutions with mobile devices e.g., IoT
  • Degree in relevant engineering subject preferred
  • Proficient IT skills

Desirable:

  • Knowledge / Experience of manufacturing assembly with Commercial off-the-shelf components / electrical wiring
  • worked for automotive engineering consultancy focused on electrical / electronic systems.
  • Remote working with 50% travel
  • The salary for the position is £40-60k depending on experience.
