The re-organisation of SPEN Smart Grid Operation (SGO) team has produced several changes, one of which is the establishment of an Advanced Distribution Management Systems and Applications (ADMS applications) Team. This team will be responsible for the specification, planning, development, operation, and maintenance of electrical applications that enhance the functionalities of SCADA control systems.

This role is focused on ANM project, and the ANM - Smart applications engineer will be responsible for planning, delivery, and management of the Active Network Management System on behalf of Smart Grid Operations including Operation, changes and ANM subcontractor management in line with Group standards and policies.
The ANM - Smart applications engineer role provides support on the planning, programme management and delivery of ADMS related projects among which ANM is a key one for delivering our Net Zero Milestones.

What you’ll be doing

You’ll monitor the operation and maintenance of ANM of the ADMS Team while also monitoring the status of current and planned jobs. Initial point of contact for external customers regarding with ANM and generate and update the available documentation about ANM, like update procedures and test procedures. You’ll coordinate the training plan for the new incorporations in collaboration of the ADMS Manager, coordinating all training sessions for the internal customers who use the ANM functionalities. You’ll be responsible for updates and development of new features of ANM according with the customer necessities, management of the contacts related with ANM support, development, and maintenance. Operation and Management of ANM projects and delivery of ANM projects.



What you’ll bring

You’ll have a degree in electrical, electronic or telecommunication engineering or relevant experience or HND/HNC or equivalent supported by a minimum of three years post-training experience in an engineering role within a utility business. You must be a proven team player to work, promote and consolidate efficient team working relationships. Driving licence is essential for this role along with web development and database knowledge
