Location:Warwick, GB, CV34 6DAJob Type: Full TimeDepartment: Gas TransmissionJob Function: Information TechnologyJob posting date: 23 Aug 2023Physical Security System Engineer - Warwick-based with travel - c. £56,000-66,000About The RoleThe Security Control Centre is responsible for investigating and responding to alarms from designated GT&M Integrated Security Solution (ISS) sites. The SCC Lead System Engineer position is to have responsibility for SCC Systems to ensure there is a successful separation from National Grid and ongoing support and maintenance is in place.As a SCC Lead Systems Engineer, You Will
  • Lead on the building of the GT&M SCC Alarm management system
  • Ensure the newly created systems are supported and maintained
  • Support Projects where there is a connection to the SCC required
  • Be the point of contact with external technical security providers
  • Work closely with SCC Operations manager ensuring SCC Operators are effective in their roles.
The ideal candidate will have experience with Gallagher Alarm and Access control Systems, Synectics Video & Alarm Management, Active directory, CCTV, Video Analytics, Perimeter Intruder Detection (PID) systems, among other related interfaces.You will possess excellent communication skills verbal and written to ensure that successful relationships are established and maintained with internal and external customers. Logical, analytical thinking with the ability to resolve problems quickly and effectively is also important for this role.What you can expect from usWe offer a salary of between £56,000 and £66,000 per annum, dependent on experience.You will also be eligible for an annual bonus based on your own and the company’s performance.You’ll get 26 days’ holiday per year, alongside the 8 statutory bank holidays, with the option to buy more.You’ll have access to a pension scheme where we double match your contribution (maximum Company contribution of 12%), as well as a flexible benefit scheme where you can opt into a whole host of lifestyle options.We are National Gas, including National Gas Transmission and National Gas Metering.In February 2023 we became a standalone business, to maintain and own the Gas Infrastructure in the UK.
