Analyst and Associate – Pan European Private Equity Real Estate

Joining a global investment management Alternative firm who manage a range of private equity real estate investments.

Seeking an Analyst and an experienced Associate to join the team in London to primarily focus on their Social Infrastructure Real Estate Strategy.

What are the ongoing responsibilities of an Associate?

  • Coverage of one or several European Investment markets including market research, interaction with potential local partners and sourcing of transactions
  • Manage transaction process including:
    • Macro and micro market research
    • Preparation of business plan and cash flow models
    • Preparation of Investment Committee memos and management of internal approval processes
    • Management of due diligence & tax structuring process and transaction documentation with ongoing reporting to head of transactions and interaction with other team members (Legal, finance)
    • Maintain and source financing for transactions, either directly or via local partners/debt brokers
  • Support portfolio management and marketing initiatives for new products
  • Work, on a case-by-case basis, with junior members of the team

What qualifications, skills and experience would help someone to be successful?

  • Strong academic background – Bachelors ideally within a relevant field
  • Fluency in English, with other European languages a plus
  • Excellent MS Office skills with a focus on Excel and Powerpoint
  • Strong written and oral communications skills, including ability to present to market participants and in internal presentations
  • Analyst level 1-2 years – good excel skills, no origination exp required
  • Associate level - Minimum of three years’ work experience in direct real estate investments
  • Sourcing network in one or more European geographies a plus
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Able to independently plan, organize and prioritize work
  • Strong interpersonal skills; strong team player
  • Highest degree of intellectual honesty and integrity
  • Willingness and desire to travel
