As an AML Associate you will be enrolled in an internal AML Academy at Starling Bank focused on developing your knowledge of money laundering typologies and anti-money laundering practices. The activities undertaken in this role will be varied and AML Associates will work on a rotation across all AML Operations functions including Due Diligence, Intelligence and Investigations teams. Successful candidates will have a desire to start a career in AML and benefit from personal and professional development opportunities while working on activities that help Starling Bank in the fight against financial crime.
For internal candidates this role will close on 1st August, internal interviews will be held in the week commencing on the 9th August.
For external candidates, this role will close on 8th August, external interviews will be held in the week commencing on the 16th August.
Responsibilities
  • Complete the AML Academy Programme.
  • Support transaction monitoring of account activity.
  • Assist on investigations into suspicious account activity.
  • Draft responses to Law Enforcement information requests.
  • Draft Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs).
  • Support the review and risk assessment of Customer matches to PEP, Sanction and Enforcement data.
  • Support the review of Payment matches to Sanction data.
  • Support the capture and analysis data for risk assessment and reporting purposes.
  • Any other reasonable management request.
Requirements:
  • Experience working in the financial services sector.
  • Awareness of financial service firms obligations in respect of AML.
  • Desire to start a career in AML.
  • Quick learner with ability to work in a fast paced environment.
  • Confident and able to make decisions.
  • Good communicator and able to write formal reports.
  • Enjoy working in a team environment.
