As we grow organically and through acquisition, our Depot in Welshpool requires an enthusiastic and hardworking Warehouse Assistant to assist them in achieving this aim.

The Opportunity:

To assist the Depot management team by accurately, efficiently, and safely performing varied general duties, to include picking orders for distribution to Wynnstay outlets and safely loading / unloading of vehicles. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Picking orders, recording and checking stock, collating paperwork, yard picking
  • Loading customers orders directly into their vehicles and preparing order to be delivered directly to farms
  • Dealing with customers face to face in a professional manner
  • Checking deliveries, complete any related paperwork ensuring it is recorded appropriately
  • Placing all incoming goods in an organised and efficient manner
  • Storing chemicals and hazardous goods in the correct manner
  • Identifying stock anomalies and taking appropriate action
  • Operating a forklift truck whilst adhering to requisite Health and Safety standards
  • Participating in any duties in the interests of Health & Safety, including COSHH compliance, Spillage clean-up, and safe manual handling. In all cases, complying with instructions relating to PPE
  • Ensuring a first class service is delivered as standard

The Person:

The successful person will be:

  • Able to carry out a manual handling role, and be able to lift 25kg in a safe manner
  • Able to drive a Counterbalance Forklift and Reach truck or similar, with appropriate licence/s (Training may be provided for a suitable candidate)
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work on own initiative
  • Able to memorise stock locations
  • Professional towards supporting customers needs
  • Able to demonstrate previous experience of working in a fast-paced environment
