A rare opportunity has arisen at our Barnard Castle workshop for someone to help offer complete technical support with a focus on Agricultural Machinery within a busy Agricultural Depot.

THE JOB

To offer complete technical support with a focus on Agricultural Machinery within a busy Agricultural Depot. Working closely with the Workshop Foreman and ensuring smooth running of the Workshop, and supporting a strong customer network working alongside other aftersales members and the sales team on service issues.

Taking responsibility for some key day to day processes in line with company guidelines and ensuring smooth communication between all parties. Play a key part in offering industry leading levels of service to our internal and external customers.

The successful candidate will be responsible for day to day technical support of a busy workshop, covering the following key areas;

· Ownership of Customer Care process for the department, linking closely with the wider business and ensuring customers remain engaged.

· Ensuring Dealer Standards are maintained across the department and maintaining a clean and efficient working environment.

· Maintaining a key link to other departments and branches within the network

· Maximising all opportunities and supporting the Workshop Manager to achieve budgets and targets.

· Working within the workshop or in the field/on farm as required.

· Providing technical expertise and guidance as required.

· Maintaining a strong working relationship with Parts Department.

· Any other task associated with the efficient technical support of a Workshop.

SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND QUALITIES REQUIRED

· Excellent knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.

· Written skills – proven ability to use clear, concise language specific for the purpose and audience.

· Confident IT user, including a working knowledge of diagnostic software.

· Flexibility with working hours during busy seasons and weekends.

· Full UK driving licence required.

· Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to consult, negotiate and liaise with suppliers, customers and internal stakeholders.

· Ability to manage change and to adapt to unexpected demands on a day-to-day basis.

Ability to assess priorities and manage competing deadlines both independently and as a member of a team
