NFU Mutual’s Wormbridge Insurance Agency is currently looking to recruit a full time Agricultural Account Executive.

NFU Mutual is a leading general insurance and financial services company serving the rural community for over 100 years. As their local agency office in Wormbridge, approximately 9 miles south of Hereford, we deliver a trusted and personal customer service that builds long term relationships with our policyholders.

The Role

As an Agricultural Account Executive, you will specialise in servicing the insurance needs of our agricultural clients. You will be tasked with driving business development in agricultural and rural markets as well as dealing with our diverse client base. Your key focus will be to develop existing client relationships and generate new business sales, both face to face and over the telephone, with proactive enthusiasm. You will also introduce NFU Mutual’s range of Financial Services and Risk Management products. The role will include preparation of renewal and new business documentation as well as report writing.

What we are looking for

We are looking for someone from an agricultural background, as being able to relate to our farming clients is key to this role. Experience in insurance, financial services or sales would be beneficial.

You will demonstrate an aptitude in communication and relationship building with a customer focused approach to everything you do. You will be working within a financial service’s regulated environment where integrity, honesty and trustworthiness are key attributes. You will be highly organised and self-motivated as well as having the ability to work in a team environment.

IT literacy (including Microsoft Office) is essential along with a minimum of 5 GCSE’s grade C or above (or equivalent), including Maths and English. A full UK driving licence is required as you will need to visit clients as part of your role.

You will receive full training, in a friendly and supportive environment to ensure you are fully licensed in all the NFU Mutual products and those of their associated partners. The role falls under the Insurance Distribution Directive. This means there is a requirement for Continuous Professional Development in role, in addition to ongoing screening checks once in post.

Working week – Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm

Office location – Wormbridge Business Park, on A465.

Salary – dependent upon experience
