The job

As an Agricultural Consultant you will provide independent advice and support to estates and farming clients to help them develop their businesses. Our advice is based heavily on financial data so you’ll need to be passionate about the numbers - a large part of your role will be the preparation of accurate financial information including budgets, cashflow forecasts management reports and other supporting documents. You’ll research and advise clients on rural grant funding and subsidy schemes; offer advice on important matters relating to the management and development of their farm business, including diversification projects; and benchmark business performance and provision of associate advice.

We are happy to accept applications from experienced Agricultural Consultants as well as those with the correct skillset wishing to enter the industry.

What you’ll need

Qualified to degree level

Some experience in farm consultancy is desirable, but not essential

Excellent analytical and numerical abilities

Strong knowledge of UK agriculture

An ability to maintain and develop relationships

Good attention to detail with effective time management skills

Excellent communication skills both written and oral

Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel

An ability to learn, understand and apply new technologies

A full UK driving licence

Where you’ll be based

The office is based in Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk, minutes from the A14.
