We’re looking for an Agent to join our regional civils team based in Doxey, Staffordshire. Within this role you can enjoy 26 days annual leave, sharesave scheme, family friendly policies and even more.

Responsibilities

In the role of Agent you’ll be working within our regional civils team, supporting them on the ECW2 (Early Civil Works) contract on HS2 Phase 2a. This includes highway modification sites ranging from passing bays and road widenings to a new bridge across the M6 at Yarnfield. Kier are responsible of the detailed design and construction of the these works. The contract also includes Route wide (new railway line) ecological and environmental surveys and is to be completed by 2024.

Your day to day will include:

  • manage resources (people, finance and physical assets) in order to fulfil the assigned project(s) safely

  • programming works, commercial performance and the effective utilisation of resources to meet those programmes

  • take full ownership and accountability for cost management allocated section, ensuring robust control of Target Cost, actual costs, and forecasts through commercial awareness.


What do we need from you?

This role of Agent is great for you if:

  • Relevant qualifications – degree level, or equivalent experience

  • Chartered Member of the ICE (or working towards) or similar.

  • Proven capability working on major multidisciplinary projects, in a regulated setting.

  • Excellent communication and project management skills including leading and managing technical teams.

  • Able to establish project requirements and drive the team to deliver the outcomes in terms of quality, cost and programme.
