Job Title:Aftermarket Product Lifecycle Manager

Salary:£73,500 - £78,000 (Depending on Experience)

Location: Peterborough

Job Opportunity

An exciting opportunity has become available to join the Perkins Aftermarket as an Aftermarket Product Lifecycle Manager leading a team of Lifecycle consultants based in Peterborough, UK. The Aftermarket lifecycle manager will be responsible for motivating and leading a high-performing team to successfully introduce parts and services solutions that are developed through NPI program delivery. The successful candidate will ensure Aftermarket readiness is managed throughout the NPI program gateways for critical programs and identify innovative aftermarket solutions that driver higher sales and profitability through an Aftermarket Growth framework.

The Product Lifecycle Manager will “champion” the Aftermarket Growth Guide by driving innovative, creative solutions that deliver customer value by collaborating with R&D teams to ensure Aftermarket requirements are taken from concept to introduction. This is a high-profile role, providing an excellent opportunity to lead a team that introduces and manages high value, innovative solutions using a lifecycle approach to managing the Perkins Aftermarket product portfolio.

What You Will Do:

Manage the entire Product Lifecycle for an Aftermarket Portfolio of Parts with sales in region of ~$250M per year, placing a specific focus on the effective introduction of new parts through New Product Introduction (NPI) and the continued support of customers when existing engine platforms are phased out.

Responsibilities

  • Monitoring and managing all aspects of aftermarket NPI deliverable completion for NPI programs ensuring departmental goals are met.

  • Directing staff and functions for developing new solutions, managing brand guidelines and branding adherence, taking effective measures to ensure new design releases meet Aftermarket customer requirements.

  • Directs aftermarket new product introduction strategy and deliverables.

  • Measuring and calculating Aftermarket Value returned through new solutions introduced through New Engine Platforms.

  • Reporting Financial Progress against original Aftermarket business proposals and NPI financial commitments.

What Skills You Have:

  • Demonstrated knowledge of company products/applications, NPI processes, Product deletion, Design change processes, Brand Management and Solutions applicable to customers (e.g Service/Repair or Overhaul Solutions).

  • Proven ability to collaborate with other functions such as Product Development, Engineering, Quality, Supply chain, Manufacturing and Operations in order to influence the delivery of new solutions that meet customer requirements.

  • Strategic Thinking: Knowledge of the importance of "big picture" thinking and planning; ability to apply organizational acumen and competitiveness to identify and maintain focus on key success factors for the organization.

  • Influencing: Knowledge of effective influencing tactics and strategies; ability to impact decisions within and outside own organization.

  • Relationship Management: Knowledge of relationship management techniques; ability to establish and maintain healthy working relationships with clients, vendors, and peers.

  • Leadership skills to motivate and inspire a highly capable aftermarket lifecycle team.
