We are seeking a Rapid Prototype Technician to support the Applied Science Manufacturing function. The ideal candidate should be experienced in manual surface finishing techniques and have knowledge of the latest additive manufacturing processes. The role: Preparing and finishing model components to the required standard. Maintaining accuracy of deliveries by updating electronic status systems. Supporting machine programming activities. Operating and maintaining Rapid Prototype machines. Establish best practice and cost-effective manufacturing and surface finishing solutions. Prioritise workload in conjunction with the RP programmers to ensure on time delivery to the end user. Ensure processes are operated safely and maintained in accordance with the manufactures recommendations and department risk assessments. Managing and maintaining the stock of consumables used in part preparation. Help with the development and support of departmental processes and procedures. Be well organised and delivery focused, to meet on-time deadlines in a high pressured and time sensitive environment. Very high standard of care and attention to the quality and cleanliness of work, and the working environment. Have excellent communication skills and meticulous attention to detail.
