An opportunity is available for a highly motivated Band 7 Physiotherapist to develop their skills and knowledge as an advanced practitioner in pelvic health.The service provides assessment and treatment for a range of pelvic health conditions, working closely with the wider MDT in Gynaecology. Gateshead Health provides gynaecology services for Gateshead residents as well as a regional gynaecological oncology service.This is an exciting opportunity to work with the Physiotherapy manager, Physiotherapy team and the wider MDT to further develop robust, effective and efficient pathways for Gateshead residents who require Physiotherapy for a pelvic health condition.The post holder will have an outpatient caseload and will have 20% of their job plan allocated to non-patient facing activities such as service development, audit and researchThe post holder must be keen to take on new challenges and will be involved in continuous shaping and development of the team to meet any changes in service delivery and to ensure a high quality of care to all patients.You will be required to work a shift pattern between the hours of 08:00 –18:00 and be expected to contribute to extended hours of work as necessary e.g. evening clinics +/- weekend working
  • Working as an Advanced Practitioner in pelvic health physiotherapy for patients referred into the service.
  • To provide an effective, evidence based high quality physiotherapy assessment and treatment service for patients with a range of complex pelvic health conditions, using advanced clinical reasoning skills.
  • To work closely with the wider multidisciplinary team and physiotherapy team.
  • In conjunction with the physiotherapy manager; review, develop and organise the coordination of the department in order to meet service and Trust objectives.
  • To provide training, advice and clinical education to service providers, service users and service commissioners
