Part Time / 2.5 to 20 Hour Per Week / Term-Time / PermanentJoin us to support residents to develop skills and qualifications to achieve their potential.Adult Education College offer a large and varied programme of educational qualification courses as well as extensive community-based provision. We have a diverse, enthusiastic student community, taught, and supported by well qualified, dedicated staff. We ensure learners achieve their full potential in their learning journey.A key member of our team, you’ll plan and deliver face-to-face and on-line courses to adult learners, ensuring that learning is properly structured, reflects good practice and assessment is robust. You’ll evaluate and provide continuous improvement to your teaching practice and ensure maximum attendance, retention, and achievement. Developing and creating engaging resources, you’ll use teaching methods which promote active learning.You’ll have an excellent understanding of delivering both non accredited beginner courses and qualifications up to Level 3. Using your expertise and creativity, you’ll identify individual learning needs to design and plan lessons, accordingly. You’ll have proficient IT skills to use software packages and ILT to teach both in the classroom and on-line through Google Classroom and Meet. In addition, you’ll have the required qualifications which include
  • a recognised generic teaching qualification e.g. PGCE, B.Ed, DTTLS or DET as well as
  • Minimum GCSE English grade A* to C or equivalent and Maths grade A* to C or Level 2 Functional Skills
We have part-time. permanent positions working between 2.5 and 20 hours per week. You’ll be based at the Adult Education College however you’ll be able to travel to a variety of settings and schools across the city.
