Job Description:

Kawasaki Disease UK is seeking an Administrative Assistant to join our team in Brentford, UK. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the day-to-day operations of the organization, ensuring smooth administrative processes, and assisting with fundraising activities.

Key Responsibilities:

Administrative Support:

  • Manage general administrative tasks such as answering emails, handling phone calls, and maintaining office supplies.
  • Assist with data entry, filing, and organizing documents both electronically and physically.
  • Schedule appointments, meetings, and events for the team as required.

Grant Fundraising Assistance:

  • Support the fundraising team in researching potential grant opportunities from foundations, trusts, and other sources.
  • Assist in preparing grant applications, ensuring all necessary documentation is complete and accurate.
  • Maintain records of grant applications, outcomes, and reporting deadlines.
  • Communication and Outreach:
  • Draft and edit correspondence, newsletters, and other communications materials for donors, supporters, and stakeholders.
  • Assist in managing social media accounts and updating the organization’s website with relevant content.
  • Event Coordination:
  • Provide logistical support for fundraising events, including venue booking, guest list management, and on-site assistance during the event.
  • Collaborate with the events team to ensure smooth execution and follow-up after events.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Previous experience working in an administrative role, preferably within the charity sector.
  • Knowledge of grant fundraising processes and experience in grant application preparation.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with database management systems.
  • A proactive and flexible attitude, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Salary:

£12 an hour. This is an independent contract.

Work Schedule:

This is a part-time role requiring 3 days per week in the office in Brentford, UK.
