Your new roleWe have a fantastic opportunity for a permanent Administrator to join our Amey Consulting Scotland team at the main design hub in Eurocentral, Motherwell.Our Amey Consulting Scotland Team are involved in designing some of the largest civil engineering and associated infrastructure projects across Scotland with cumulative values in excess of £1bn.Amey manages both the Southwest and Northeast Trunk Road Network Management contracts, with the Southwest being awarded in 2020 and the Northeast in 2022. These are 8-year contracts, extendable up to 12 years. In addition to these long-term contracts, we also have a diverse portfolio of major roads, bridges and transportation and civil design projects with Transport Scotland, Local Authorities, and established contractors across the country.Reporting to the Principal Business Support Manager you will provide a wide range of administrative duties and support services to the team across the Eurocentral office.The standard hours of work are40 hours per week – Monday to FridayWork-life balance and flexibility are key for our success.   • Maintaining and updating records within various management information systems.
  • Undertaking general team administrative duties as and when required.
  • Distributing and sharing information internally to ensure customer needs are met.
  • Receiving and disseminating information to other team members to ensure delivery.
  • Maintaining office systems in an orderly manner.
  • Undertaking other basic business support duties as part of a team.
  • Assisting with the delivery od services to the client as prescribed by team leaders / management.
  • Inputting to and maintaining spreadsheets / databases / systems and producing and collating reports.
  • Raising of purchase orders and arranging payment of invoices.
  • Administering petty cash.
  • Providing cover for reception where appropriated or required.
We want to hear from you if you have / are:
  • Educated to GCSE level or equivalent.
  • Familiar with or exposure to management systems or other similar data entry and reporting database applications.
  • Previous experience of working in a generalist administration / business support role.
  • Conscientious and confident approach to duties with a polite, pleasant and helpful attitude
  • Good verbal and written communication
  • Experience / use of MS Word and MS Excel in a general administration role.
