Location: Tondu Waste Transfer Station, Bridgend

Business Area: Environmental Services – Bridgend County Borough Council

Contract: Permanent, part time, 20 hours per week - Monday to Friday, 9am to 1pm


Kier Places are recruiting now for a Part Time Administrator to join our Environmental Services team at Tondu Waste Transfer Station on our Bridgend County Borough Council contract, delivering refuse & recycling services to the borough, in which this position is responsible for providing administrative support to the operations and management team.


Key Responsibilities

As a crucial part of our service to Bridgend County, as an Administrator we will look to you uphold & maintenance our relationship with the residents on Bridgend, by answering calls to deal with enquiries & bookings from the residents, in a professional, friendly & courteous manner, and responding to other general queries from clients & resident by email & phone call.

To be a successful candidate in this position, you should be able to maintain effective work systems, ensuring that all correspondence and documentation is dealt with to meet service & audit requirements. This will include ensuring all calls are entered into our Echo system and jobs allocated to crews from this system. We will also ask you to undertake ad-hoc duties & projects within the scope of your ability.

For our Administrator, we are looking for someone with good IT literacy relating to the Microsoft Office suite; an efficient and professional individual who possess strong communication, organisational and time management skills, has a strong teamworking mentality, and is helpful, enthusiastic and flexible.
