Administrative Assistant

Location: Aldershot

Salary: £16k - £20k

Hours of work: 08:00 to 17:00, Monday to Friday

Holiday: 25 days + Statutory Bank Holidays

Pension: Company’s standard pension, once eligible

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Administrative Assistant to join this growing building services firm. Due to an increase in projects in new sectors they are looking for an enthusiastic and friendly person to join their team.

We’re looking for someone with some administration experience, although you don’t necessarily need lots of previous experience, some would be beneficial. It’s essential that you’re a confident communicator and that you have good IT skills, especially MS Excel. Ideally you’ll be able to use Excel to an intermediate level to be able to manage spreadsheets and use basic formulas.

Responsibilities Include
  • Taking and making calls to clients, subcontractors and on site colleagues.
  • Obtaining quotations from wholesalers and other suppliers and typing up orders, often to tight timescales
  • Logging of orders on job finance reports
  • Carry out other admin tasks to help the Engineers and Admin/Finance teams
  • Keeping information accessible by sorting, filing paper and electronic documentation

About You
  • Some previous office administration experience (or similar) would be beneficial but not essential.
  • Previous office experience within the M&E industry would be preferable, but is not essential
  • Excellent IT skills (MS Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Ability to prioritise effectively and work well under pressure
  • Good time management skills
  • Strong communication skills, confident telephone manner
