Salary: National Minimum Wage

Hours 35 hours per week

We would like to recruit initially on a 12 month fixed term contract, with a three month probationary period and a six month review. If the review is satisfactory to both the employee and the Management Committee of the TMC we would hope to make this a permanent contract.

Job Purpose and Role

To serve as a member of the TMC estate office team, to contribute to an effective local housing management service.

To strive for excellence in service

To provide general clerical and administrative support to the estate office team and the TMC.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

1. To meet and assist customers of the Service- residents and stakeholders.

2. Ensure all filing systems and records are kept up to date and are readily accessible to all staff as required.

3. Administration duties – including (but not exclusively) photocopying, proof reading and sending letters, booking incoming and outgoing post
4. Liaise with tenants regarding repairs and book appointments
5. Issue as directed, work orders, help with enquires and arrange access to properties.
6. Report estate related issues to Housing Management Coordinator
7. Conduct, record and track customer satisfaction questionnaires and surveys
8. Tenant visits in their properties (accompanied and unaccompanied) when required
9. Tenant interviews on site when required
10. Telephony - answering calls and signposting enquiries

11. Receive any monies and charges due to the TMC in accordance with the appropriate procedures.

12. Provide any other clerical resource as directed.

13. Comply with the TMC’s Equal Opportunities policy.

14. Attend training courses as deemed necessary.

15. Comply with all current legislation as it affects employment or working practices.

16. The post holder must be prepared to undertake any other duties as commensurate with the grade of the post, which may be allocated by management, subject to any reasonable adjustments under the Disability Discrimination Act.

17. Participate in staff development, appraisals and training as appropriate.

18. Develop an understanding of how Tenant Management works, and be committed to the principles and practicalities of working for a Tenant Management Organisation, and be willing to develop your knowledge further
