Pay rates: Up to £12.94 per hour, including weekend enhancements

40 hours per week, typically spread across the week and designed around the resident who is at the heart of all we do. There will be alternate weekend working and varied shift patterns to cover breakfast clubs through to early evening activities.

We’re looking for an experienced Activities Team Leader to join our dynamic team and become a valued part of day-to-day life in our home, Fernhill in Longham near Ferndown, Dorset.

You’ll play an essential role injecting fun and creativity into a calendar of engaging activities, bringing a breath of fresh air as you assist residents to lead a happy and fulfilled life. Whether it’s an individual indoor session, group quiz, supporting a local school group to come and join in some singing and dancing or a lovely group day out on one of our state-of-the-art minibuses, you’ll champion the residents’ wellbeing at all times.

Every day is different - You’ll be responsible for managing a small supportive team of Activity Coordinators, managing rotas, work allocation, team budget and resident records. You’ll also support the organisation of fundraising, gala and themed care home events to showcase the amazing things you do and even raise money for local charities!
