(12 month fixed term)

Contract: 37.5 hours per week. Monday to Friday 09:00 – 17:00

Location:Neath Port Talbot

Salary:£21,937.91 per annum

Adferiad Recovery delivers a new, flexible, and co-ordinated response to the exceptional circumstances faced by people with co-occurring mental health and substance misuse conditions and related issues. We harness the talents and experience of our founding and long-established leading Welsh Charities CAIS, Hafal, and WCADA in their fields, enabling our projects to meet the needs of our most vulnerable with a single, unified, and comprehensive approach.

Job Purpose:

We are looking for a passionate and caring individual who will sit within the Engagement Outreach and Floating Support team to consult with existing service users to develop activities and well-being sessions that will support them through their recovery. This project will work with individuals aged 18 and over who may have additional needs such as;

  • Drug and/or Alcohol use
  • Mental Health
  • Vulnerably Housed
  • Criminal Justice involvement

Responsibilities:

  • Consult with existing service users to develop weekly activities that can be delivered in a group setting or individually.
  • Provide 1-1 well-being sessions.
  • Transport clients to appointments.
  • Support the Engagement Outreach and Floating Support workers with appointments.
  • Develop working relationships with external organisations.
  • To operate within and observe partnership policies and procedures as amended and updated.
  • Maintain confidentiality in accordance with Adferiad Limited’s policy and procedure and with any statutory/contractual requirements.
  • Work in a non-judgmental, anti-discriminatory way always.
  • Participate in weekly team meetings and regular supervision sessions.
  • To be responsible for working within own level of competence.
  • To undertake internal and external training as appropriate, and as required as part of Continuous Professional Development.
  • Maintain appropriate written and database client records and undertake appropriate administrative tasks in a timely manner.
  • Organise and manage time effectively to ensure service delivery and opportunities are maximised.
  • To develop and maintain professional working relationships with external agencies.
  • Must demonstrate empathy towards Adferiad Recovery’s beneficiaries.
  • To carry out all other tasks commensurate with the role.
  • To have commitment to and demonstrate an undertaking of equality of opportunity and its relevance to different sectors within the community.

Person Specification:

  • NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification is desirable.

Essential Experience:

  • Experience of managing a caseload
  • Experience of working with individuals who have/had substance misuse issues or Mental Health issues
  • Experience of working in community-based services and with vulnerable client groups

Essential Skills:

  • An ability to organise own time and work on own initiative
  • Ability to complete risk assessments and manage risk
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Good IT, report writing and note keeping skills, including maintaining all client records as required

Full driving licence and full access to a vehicle for work purposes is essential.
