Accounts Payable Supervisor

Role Profile:

Responsible for the smooth running of the accounts payable team within a dynamic technology organisation.

Ensuring that all invoices received into the department are processed accurately & payments made in a timely fashion to ensure continuity of supply from our suppliers.


Typical Deliverables:

  • Management of a team of 5 accounts payable administrators
  • Ensuring the AP ledger is kept up to date and accurate with statement reconciliations undertaken regularly
  • Liaising within the business to ensure processes are followed/dealing with queries
  • External liaison with suppliers, query resolution
  • Ensuring the supplier database is kept accurate and up to date
  • Processing weekly payment runs
  • AP ledger administration at month end
  • Monitoring and reporting of CIS, ensuring statutory compliance
  • Liaison with the external audit team at year end
  • Other ad hoc tasks as required

Business Operations Skills – Experience & Qualifications:


  • Proven experience of working within a busy accounts payable department
  • Team leadership or staff supervision experience
  • Good communication and customer service skills
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • Experience of a large ERP systems, such as Oracle E-Business Suite or equivalent

  • Demonstrate drive, enthusiasm and proactiveness
  • Ability to build a good relationship within the team
  • Deliver a high level of service to our internal Business and Suppliers
