Butler Rose is delighted to be supporting a highly reputable and dynamic business with an Accounts Payable Manager.

The role will be to lead a team of 4 within P2P and would be suited to someone who’s been a team leader/supervisor within a high volume business and wanting to take the next step in their career.

Key Responsibilities Include
  • Managing the day-to day activities of the team, ensuring all SLA’s are adhered to;
  • Provide clear training to team members on various tasks and ensure best practices are in place;
  • Work in partnership with cross functional stakeholders to maintain efficient and compliant processes;
  • Manage the PO process effectively by providing training and on-going support to the business;
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and stakeholders;
  • Ensure the processing of invoices, credit notes, expenses, corporate credit cards and payment cycle is controlled effectively and in line with business requirements;
  • Assist with process improvements and proactively make suggestions on efficient ways of working;
  • Preparing monthly reports, review aged debt and reconciliations to tight month end deadlines;
  • Reviewing and approving any new vendor sets ups within SLA;
  • Liaise with key stakeholders to identify issues, build relationships, and manage queries efficiently;
  • Work with the business to ensure purchase orders are closed once all goods and invoices have been received;
  • Ensure compliance with the supplier set up process on the system, liaising with relevant teams as required;
Candidates

We’re seeking an experienced AP Supervisor or Team leader who has worked in a busy AP environment, preferably for a global business / within a Shared Service centre. Candidates need to have a relaxed but proactive management style and not be afraid to get stuck in day to day duties in addition to managing others.

An understanding of the purchase to pay process and the 3-way match process and its importance to the business is essential as is a confident communicator; written and verbal; and a positive can-do attitude, especially when faced with challenges and time constraints.

Candidates need to be able to work effectively within a high volume, deadline driven but fun environment and be highly self-motivated!
