Title: Accounts & General Assistant (Part Time- 20 Hours Per Week - £14,000 PA Pro Rata) Reporting To: Accounts Administrator Job Purpose and Key Functions: The job purpose of the Accounts & General Assistant is to assist the Accounts Administrator in the day-to-day processing of financial and payroll documents relating to the Company’s business, together with other letters, forms and contracts on the instructions of the Accounts Administrator, and Financial Director. The highest standards of accuracy are required along with a commitment to Mowden’s strict policy on quality. The following functions will be undertaken:

  • Undertake training as required to achieve excellence in role.
  • Assist with keeping holiday and absence records pertaining to the Company’s staff.
  • Undertake HR related functions relating to documentation.
  • Liaise with Account Managers where customers have specific needs and requirements.
  • Assist with credit control.
  • Take notes at meetings as required.
  • Undertake internal audits.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement, as appropriate.
  • Work to achieve required key performance indicators as agreed with the Accounts Administrator.
  • Carry out other tasks as reasonably required by the business from time to time. Become expert in the use of Mowden’s “Opera 3” (accounts), “Operations II” (ERP) and EQMS (workflow) software that control our operations. Specifically:
  • Raise Sales invoices
  • Check & process Purchase invoices
  • Follow Customs procedures
  • Generate customs documentation
  • Complete workflows with full and accurate information
  • Maintain quality related records
  • Understand the MRP system and how avoid distortions
