Ecologiacurrently have an exciting opportunity for an Accounts Assistant (Purchase Ledger)to join our teaminSittingbourne, with the possibility of some remote working.You will join us on a full time/permanent basis and in return you will receive a competitive salary of £25,000 per annum. (24hrs per week)

Ecologia a RSK company is a multi-disciplinary, specialist contaminated land consultant/contractor that provides advice and undertakes site investigation and remediation projects across the UK and Europe

As our Accounts Assistant, you will be responsible for routine accounts processes, to include maintaining current processes and also making recommendations for their improvement, in order to ensure the smooth running of the Accounts Department.


Key duties of ourAccounts Assistant:


  • All aspects of purchase ledger, including:
  • Matching of invoices to Purchase Orders and updating the CRM system
  • Dealing with supplier queries
  • Invoice entry onto Sage 50 Accounts and Sage Job Costing
  • Preparing the weekly payment run
  • Reconciling supplier statements
  • Processing of staff expenses on a monthly basis
  • Daily reconciliation of the bank accounts
  • Processing and checking of Company credit cards
  • Ensuring the correct CIS deductions are deducted from supplier payments and reported to HMRC
  • Labour entry on a monthly basis to Sage Job Costing
  • Issuance and record keeping for all petty cash
  • All filling pertaining to the Accounts function, as and when required
  • Providing cover as and when deemed necessary for other roles within the Finance Department
  • Various ad-hoc accounts duties as and when required


Person Specification:

  • Purchase ledger experience
  • Providing accurate information on a timely basis
  • Experience of Sage Line 50 and Sage Job Costing would advantageous
  • Accuracy and attention to detail
  • Organised and able to manage workload
