I have an exciting, brand-new opportunity to join a great fresh produce business whilst providing support to the Management Accountant and wider finance team.

Are you an experienced Accounts Assistant/Part-Qualified Accountant with commercial experience as well as strong communication and organisational skills? Then this could be your next role!

Your duties will include:

  • Assist in controlling the balance sheet of the company, ensuring accruals & prepayments are correctly stated and that any issues are highlighted to management.
  • Posting Monthly journals and reconciling them back to the ledgers.
  • Assist the management accountant analysing actual spend compared to budget throughout the year.
  • Prepare draft management accounts based on balance sheet reconciliations, accruals and prepayments and then analyse them with the management accountant.
  • Assist with ad-hoc projects aimed at improving controls in the business.
  • Assist with other purchase ledger, sales ledger and general finance tasks.

It’s important you can understand and control of the company’s balance sheet, ensure delivery of month end accurately and on time, effective analysis of the company’s performance and proactively contribute towards the continuous improvement of the finance department. You will need to have strong IT skills, particularly in Excel.

This is a fully office based role; Monday to Friday 8:30 - 17:00 and own transport is required due to the rural location of the site.
