Rialtas, part of Quicksilva and the global Harris Computer family, is looking for an Accounts and Administration Officer for its market leading accounting software business.

Your Duties & Objectives:

  • Preparing regular financial statements and accounts such as P&L statements and monthly closing and cost accounting reports.
  • Establishing, maintaining and co-ordinating the implementation of accounting and accounting control procedures.
  • Supporting business leaders in financial forecasting tasks.
  • Monitoring all spending, costs and budgets and comparing against predictions. Being able to clearly explain any differences between budget and actual expenditure.
  • Forecasting and planning future spending and profits, including accruals and pre-payments.
  • Interacting with internal and external auditors in completing audits. Ensuring all financial records are up to date for audit purposes.
  • Preparation of customer billing and account management including chasing payments.
  • Managing the bank and cash flow on a daily basis and processing bank payments, including bank reconciliation.
  • Providing assistance in legislative accounting processes, VAT returns, payment of NI/PAYE etc. such as working with our suppliers.
  • Assisting with monthly company payroll including staff pension payments, expenses, company credit cards, working with HR, reconciliation of accounts etc.
  • Administrative duties include supporting the sales team with providing quotes, booking in calendar appointments for professional services, general office support, and other being prepared to support the wider team and business with adhoc tasks and projects.

Your Skills / Background:

  • Good communication (written and verbal) skills – patient and friendly manner is important.
  • Finance Software Skills e.g. Sage Accounts, Zero etc.
  • Numerate – experienced in working in finance reporting
  • Computer literate in Microsoft Word, Excel, Microsoft Outlook, good Excel skills required.
  • Working within and managing office processes.
  • Inputting, managing and delivering of Company accounts.
  • AAT (or equivalent) qualified (desirable).
  • Engaged to represent our business, our work ethic and embody Our Values Values (harriscomputer.com)
  • Eligible to work in the UK at the point of application
  • Have your own transport / driving license

Location

Offices in Uffcott, near Swindon which are easily accessible from both Junctions 15 and 16 on the M4. The position will be performed on a hybrid basis between the Rialtas office in Swindon and the successful applicants UK home address. The candidate will also need to be prepared to travel on occasion to client sites UK-wide to provide consultancy, implementation and sales support.
