Amazing opportunity for a qualified accountant to work in a fast paced start up technology company delivering leading edge online accountancy & filing compliance solutions for businesses across the UK. As part of our growth strategy we are looking for people who are wanting more than an just an accountancy role, but also take an active part in the development of our online filing and book-keeping platform.
Your primary responsibilities will be to produce micro and small company end of year financial statements and corporation tax returns for customers who want their filings managed and also help customers in using our software.
You will be working directly with experienced founders who are experts in their fields and have a passion for exceptional customer service and quality of product. You will be part of a growing business with multiple future product releases. We are looking for someone who wants to learn, can make active contributions to design and become an essential part of a fantastic and growing team.
Responsibilities
- Producing end of year financial statements for small and micro business
- Producing CT600 tax returns
- Liaising with customers both by phone, email and online chat
- Being part of our platform development contributing to the design and process flow of new and existing products
- Writing knowledge base articles for our public portal
Qualifications
- Accountancy qualification (ACCA/ACA/CIMA or equivalent)
- At least1 proven experience working within accounting practice, preparing and reviewing financial. Ideally working accounting practice working on multiple client relationships
- Strong knowledge of SME accounting
- Experience of VAT/PAYE
- Strong communication skills both written and oral
- Comfortable with technology and a sense of humour!
