The Job

Barclay Meade Finance and Accountancy are working in partnership with a Surrey based Financial Services business who are seeking an Accountant for a newly created role.

This varied role will report into the head of finance and be responsible for a multitude of tasks, including:

Preparing and posting journals, accruals and prepayments to ensure accuracy of accounts

Preparing monthly product management accounts with variance analysis and commentary to a month end timetable

Managing day-to-day cashflow, ensuring daily forecasts are updated

Preparing payroll

Preparing and being actively involved in the budgeting and forecasting process including variance analysis

Completing VAT returns

Balance sheet reconciliations and control

Enhancing, innovating and improving existing processes and controls

The successful candidate will be a driven, qualified or newly qualified accountant with prior experience of working in a management acccounting role. This position is pivotal to the success of the organisation and has a great deal of exposure across all departments.
