AAT Level 4 qualified Accountant required for excellent opportunity to work in a small, friendly and professional accountancy firm.

Immediate start required.

The role is on a permanent basis and is based in Shipley.

An ideal candidate must have the following qualifications and skills and must be willing to continue their studies to gain subsequent ACCA qualification.

· Minimum AAT Level 4 qualified

· Minimum 5 GSCEs grade A to C including Maths and English

· Application of proven methods to common and uncommon accounting problems

· Ability to review one’s own work and find and correct any mistakes

· Understanding of the overall impact of their financial decisions

· Proficiency with accounting software

· Strong analytical skills

· Ability to communicate with clients and colleagues at all levels of the business.

· Proficient on all Microsoft packages

· Ability to prioritise own workload to ensure all statutory deadlines are met

Duties

· Preparation of statutory financial accounts for limited companies, partnerships and sole traders.

· Analysing profit and loss statements and balance sheets.

· Communicating with clients to request relevant information and discussing business performance, including giving advice on tax in accordance with existing legislation

· Managing client queries in a timely and professional manner and communicating with HMRC and Companies House including submission of financial accounts

· Liaising directly with clients when preparing management accounts.
