Overview of the role:

As an Accountancy Partner, you will be in the fortunate position to drive the growth of Technology Accountants- all the benefits of running your own firm with none of the financial risks. Technology Accountants is part of The CK Group, and the Accountancy Partner is a non-designate position. You will develop, grow and manage a sizable fee base of clients, in a client facing advisory capacity and all-around advisor, looking to incorporate the other group companies wherever possible. You’ll be looking to develop relationships with the clients and drive the growth of this office for the future in business development focused capacity. The right individual will look to advise clients on a wide-ranging, accounting, tax, business planning, profitability maximization, succession and share options as a trusted go-to advisor. You will in time grow and manage the wider team and oversee the delivery of compliance and advisory projects, working with the wider management and support team on this.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Proactively manage all accountancy activities for clients
  • Ensure all client accounting records and current accounts are maintained to a high standard
  • Create accountancy reports for clients
  • Prepare annual cash flow statements for clients
  • Maximising potential revenue opportunities to the rest of the CK group by identifying relevant commercial opportunities
  • Grow and develop the team
  • Support with recruitment activities for the wider team
  • Be responsible for the P&L, looking to ensure profitability and growth

Core Competencies Required

  • Be ACA/ACCA/CTA Qualified, with a strong background in accountancy practice
  • We are especially interested in accountants who have experience in the STEM sector, or those where there are lots of complex accountancy structures in place
  • Management experience is preferred, ideally at the Associate Director level in other practices
  • Be ambitious, commercially aware and have a desire to be entrepreneurial
  • Ability to network and engage thoughtfully
  • Computer literate and naturally organized
  • Be highly charismatic and engaging, able to build trust and rapport with clients

Additional Information:

This is a full-time role paying between £40,000- £60,000, with an additional discretionary bonus attached and access to a profit-share model. There will be no equity. Pay will be reviewed every 6 months.
