The Role

A new role has arisen for an Account Manager. Reporting to the Regional division Director, UK & Ireland Life Science, you will be responsible for growing existing business and identifying and winning new business, thus ensuring the smooth flow of orders through the business.

You will be field-based, responsible for the sale of cleaning and disinfection solutions into life science, pharmaceutical, cosmetic and biotech sectors - specifically clean room environments and their manufacturing facilities.

The role is targeted and incorporates new business and account management of a top performing territory. The sale is highly consultative and involves dealing with a variety of technical and scientific decision makers. Key to our client success has been the ability to move away from price based sales and add significant value to the customers’ overall processes – ensuring delivery of exceptional results. Work with senior management, global marketing and commercial teams to help create a global Bioquell brand, customer driven value proposition and updated customer facing and website customer driven case studies and materials.

The view is to further grow the London region business and you will be instrumental in development new business, relationships and growing market share. The role will require close collaboration with customers, as well as with Bioquell’s Customer Service, Production and Logistics teams in order to balance market demand with production capacity.

What You’ll Do

  • Create and lead the execution of a business development and relationship management strategy for the target areas
  • Report on your pipeline on a regular basis.
  • Achieve the sales and gross margin targets in line with the Company growth plans
  • Build and maintain client relationships
  • Grow the existing customer base, evaluating the potential of new customers
  • Acquire market intelligence regarding potential products
  • Determine the market access strategy and pricing for specific products
  • Work closely with marketing team to help create marketing materials.
  • Work with senior management, global marketing and commercial teams to help create a global Bioquell brand, customer driven value proposition and updated customer facing and website customer driven case studies and materials.
  • Create and lead the execution of a business development and relationship management strategy for the target areas

Desirable skills:

  • Experience of products related to cleaning and disinfection within cleanrooms, pharmaceutical and life Science manufacturing facilities would have a distinct advantage
  • Ability to add value throughout the sales process and not rely on price orientated sales.
  • A scientific background and 3+ years of Sales experience, ideally within a Healthcare or Life Sciences environment.
  • Professional, with a hands on and results driven background.
  • The ability and willingness to travel nationally
  • Confident and determined in approaching and pitching to senior level executives in order to generate new business.
  • Fluent English communication skills - both verbal and written, with a confident and professional telephone manner
