The Maintenance and Facilities function is well established and has growth planned in staff numbers to support both recent and planned growth – not least the addition of a Medical School, the Centre of Excellence, innovative research buildings and c.3,000 new student accommodation spaces.

As the Access and Facilities Officer, you will be a key and experienced member of the maintenance and facilities team and expected to adopt a flexible working approach and be able to adapt service delivery to the fluctuating demands made on the team.

This role is critical to the delivery of the Estates Strategy and you will be responsible for administering the University building access control systems and supporting Colleges and Professional Services with access requirements and will regularly utilise problem solving skills.

You will ensure the systems are accurate and meet the access needs of customers and the security needs of the University, contributing to the delivery of the smooth operation of the campuses. You will also develop and maintain effective procedures that support excellent customer service with regards to Access Control, Porterage and Post room services, the facilities management system and ensuring the dissemination of accurate and useful information to all our customers.
