EY People Advisory Services are currently engaged in an exciting global initiative, to drive workforce transformation for EY’s clients through the targeted upskilling and reskilling of their employees. As part of this, the EY Skills Foundry™ is developing a series of learning academies that will cover a range of current and future focused topics, that will be instrumental in helping to develop the skills of the future in the workplace.

This initiative has resulted in a number of interesting and challenging roles becoming available. These roles will provide individuals with an exceptional opportunity to be involved with a high-profile initiative, to interact with consulting teams from across the globe and to engage with senior EY leadership.

We’re recruiting for an Academy Lead to join the global product team, to own and deliver high quality, innovative, digital learning products, which form part of EY’s global Learning Academies.

Reporting to the Learning Director, the post-holder will collaborate with design and technical specialists, external vendors, and client delivery teams to design, develop and deploy world-class digital learning academes which form part of the Skills Foundry™ product suite.

The post-holder will play an active role in supporting client delivery teams to deploy our Learning Academy products to client organisations globally. This is a visible role that requires strong stakeholder and relationship management skills, deep digital learning design and development expertise and commercial acumen.

We require applicants with drive, insight and determination to build a successful solution that will help shape the future of learning / reskilling. This role can be based in the UK, US or Australia.

Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
  • Own and drive end-to-end design, development and maintenance of specific learning academy products to agreed global standards
  • Collaborate closely with Learning Design, Creative and Technical specialists within the Learning team to ensure vendors / in-house teams to create Academy products to the standards outlined in our global design system and manifesto
  • Lead and manage the design, development and production of engaging and impactful digital learning academy products through EY’s in-house Learning Lab and 3rd party ecosystem of specialist Vendors, ensuring all relevant governance processes are adhered to
  • Identify suitable target vendors, feed into contracting process, and manage day-to-day vendor relationships
  • Build and manage a network of global SMRs per academy domain (identification, facilitation of design process, review and approval of outputs)
  • Evaluate academies for effectiveness and ROI against agreed measures of success and KPIs, leveraging global approach / methodology
  • Work closely with the Learning design Lead to evolve and enhance our data-driven approach to measuring the quality and efficacy of the learning academies and to drive continuous data-informed improvements to the learning products
  • With support from learning design specialists, manage curated libraries for each academy (inc. requests to vendors)
  • Collaborate with specialists in the learning team to ensure effective asset management (management and organisation of content appropriate mechanism)
  • Work with Learning Designers, Academy leads, Creatives and Developers to create and refine design processes that support the delivery of quality design solutions.
  • Collaborate with Creative, Technical and Learning Design teams to define the optimum design and delivery approach for working with vendors to create content for academies.
  • Manage regular reporting to product leadership and client delivery teams on outcomes per client
  • Own and manage project budget per academy
  • Responsibility for communication updates across the Skills Foundry team and to members of the product leadership team where required
  • Work closely with Skills Foundry client delivery leads and regional engagement teams across EY to ensure successful deployment of specific academies to clients, including but not limited to guidance on academy curriculum and learning experience, guidance on contextualisation of academies for different sectors and clients, and academy evaluation approach
  • Take ownership for the creation and maintenance of relevant product toolkits and academy related product collateral, and liaison with product marketing
  • Be a problem solver who builds positive relationships both within the Learning Academies team, product team, and the wider EY Skills Foundry™ team – and with vendors and regional EY teams
  • Communicate clearly and with the confidence and proactively contribute ideas
  • Prioritise effectively and work on multiple project deliverables with tight deadlines
  • Keep up to date on industry best practice, latest trends and progression in the digital learning solutions / learning product market

Experience, Skills and Attributes:
  • A proven track record of shaping and managing large, high profile, profitable digital learning products / programmes which create value for clients across sectors
  • Significant experience of leading digital learning design and development teams and 3rd party providers to create engaging and impactful solutions
  • Demonstrable track record of building lasting client and internal relationships
  • A proven track record of proactively managing senior client stakeholders, including providing constructive change, influencing decisions, providing robust advice, delivering difficult messages and managing performance issues, up to C-Suite level
  • A willingness to collaborate
  • A passion for innovation, an open mind, and willingness to learn and grow within a diverse creative role
  • Be professional, quickly establishing personal credibility and demonstrating expertise
  • Have strong personal impact and resilience, and be able to influence and persuade clients and stakeholders to gain support for major changes and key decisions
  • Take a practical approach to solving issues and gaining client agreement

  • Passion for innovation and staying up to date with the latest learning and digital development trends
  • An open mind and willingness to learn and grow within a diverse role

Ideally, you’ll also have….
  • A primary degree and post graduate degrees and professional qualifications in a relevant field (e.g. learning design, education, digital pedagogy, product design, digital development)
  • Experience of working for a digital learning products organisation
